Whether this is paranoid garbage or not, there is one thing that is completely without doubt. The role of the US as the major world economic power is ending. Asia, especially China, is rising and will dominate the world economy.
In Australia successive Governments have bet the bank on the rise of China as the dominant economic force in the world, eventually the US will be a player much more akin to Europe as a pervasive yet not dominant economic force.
You may not like it, many here don't, but there is little debate anymore over it becoming reality.
