The westminster system is probably the best democratic system to emerge so far in human history, it has so many checks and balances that you never see the kinds of issues you see in the USA or other forms of democracy.

Some of the most stable and fair Governments in the world have the westminster system, Australia, the UK, New Zealand. You really want to replace that with something unknown and untested ?
