Wow what a post MP.

Cmon things are not that bad.

Agreed tho, not a fan of Holidays. (monkey see, monkey do time) Plus it kills traffic and sales for 2-3 days.
My advice, turn off the media. Aka whatever cable/sattelite system you use, and just get what you want to watch from the net. Commercial free. Save $500 next year at least.
Seriously I havent watched the news in 7-8 years, actually never and hence I dont get my head filled with the problems of the world. If it's important I hear about it.
I turned off Sattelite about 8 months back. Best move I ever made. I no longer watch ANY commercials. I call the shots, not the media. Who needs the other guy's problems in my head. I have all I can do with my own affairs.
It is kinda "over Johnny" as far as music. But not completely. Lots of younger guys still like the classic stuff. Stained, Kings of Leon are examples of modern bands that are still along the lines of the older stuff.
Billy Joel was just on the HS show. 11-16 He mentioned in 300-400 years from now they'll still be listening to the Beatles. (as well as a few Billy Joel songs) He was right. It was an explosion of talent that will prob never happen (for a while anyhow) again.
So look at music as not something that has ended but, something that we were lucky enuf to be around when it was happening.
Man can that guy play. Ya know when I was watching it on HTV (youtube - ;) ) he looked older (of course) and all I could see was the age. He sounded off. But when I listened to it again on an mp3, he was right on the button pretty much. And at 9 am.
So we all have a bias towards age. We hear what we see. Anyhow all those songs and complicated lyrics he has. And he remebered them all very well. And the way he tickles the ivory. Just beautiful.
Imagine NYC is a madhouse around Xmas.
i get the news i need from the weather report
--Billy Joel Songs--
