paul they were convicted of assisting copyright infringement when the police admitted they didn't turn off DHT and therefore had no proof that they were involved in the transaction at all. (because DHT takes priority so it not only possible but more likely the tracker is never even touched).
if the police did their job properly then this judgement would be justified but they basically dropped the ball.
