you're dead on imo about political correctness, if I wished (as an example) a Jewish person a Merry Christmas, I think it would be appropriate and a bit entertaining if they wished me a Happy Hanukkah. To me things like that are just well wishes and I will accept as many of those as possible.

That would be a mistake to wish me a Happy Bastille day or any other holiday like that. I would follow up with several questions regarding that specific holiday because I would be curious to learn about their customs and such. Could be a longer conversation then they were looking for!

I hear ya on the not being offended by the kill whitey day, it would be funny (unless I was the one they wanted to kill) I am as lily as they come. I bet I could read a newspaper through my hand!
