Buying gold is a fools game in my opinion. The last major worldwide natural disaster in the world economies, the value of gold fell as well.
I'd suggest buying a still, sugar, and coffee. That way you can stay up all night brewing your home-made hooch. The value of hooch will go up as "medicine."
Just my thoughts.
