More government cost more, more taxes, More overhead, that's the principal understanding I have for smaller government, is that the conservative approach you are saying I'm irrational about and how does that work?
So, i speak how I feel about something, how is that spineless? You are doing the same?
Actually, if you look at the trends, as people get older, they become more conservative, it's been that way for a while.
It's my belief that a balanced government, like what we are getting now or what we had from 94 to 2000 is what works best for the country, I have conservative views when it comes to being fiscal, but I don't always go with the rest of the agenda. I didn't like Bush and I don't like us going to war. I hate censorship which is something that Obama tried with Fox news.
And the reason the stimulus failed was bureaucracy, they didn't take that into account

Vendzilla, I am socially liberal. I would much prefer a smaller government. The problem is claiming you want a smaller government but fighting tooth and nail about programs that carry the most costs, the military for example.
Also, whether you will admit it or not you do a lot of party bashing based on half truths and / or pure talking points. Maybe you haven't investigated further, maybe you know you're being disingenuous and just don't care. Either way, when you do it you are acting like every other conservative out there and it accomplishes nothing but a giant hate party in both directions.
