Presumably, much of the "leaked" documents are of little value - adds relatively little to what's already publicly known / available through other channels (ie. FOIA requests).

If the info Wikileaks is posting was really all that important, the domain would have been seized (as like with the "pirate" sites this past week), the website, its torrents, etc would be gone already. And its operators would be branded terrorists and locked away in a secret 3-letter agency prison somewhere. None of this has happened ... why is that? ...

Wikileaks to me smacks of CIA psyops; deflect public attention away from other military / national security matters.
