Eric, I'm sorry that your partner, the attorney Evan Stone's end user law suits are a focus of this amicus brief. However, I think it's interesting to point out that only specific law firms were included in these briefs for their methods for filing. Many other law firms who do end-user litigation were not included and it's important for studios to research which law firms they work with, how they handle the process, and the risks.

As far as my comments, as I mentioned in Xbiz, the comments were not made in the context of end-user litigation as we don't even participate in end user litigation. They were made about p2p sites and the fact that end users have a lot of risks when they engage with a p2p site. Similar to the fact that the FBI clearly lists the less obvious risks of p2p sites http://www.fbi.gov/scams-safety/peertopeer including cp, sexual predators, computer hacking, copyright infringement & the monetary consequences, criminal investigations, and yes public access of your private files.

From the FBI: "Because these systems potentially expose your computer and files to millions of other users on the network"

Whether a user is sued or not, dealing with P2P sites to access content for free is risky business on many levels.
