pretty simple, the government ran up a bill they want the rich to pay for, the government should cut the waste before talking about more taxes for the rich, people hear the rich and without a clue, they are all for it because it doesn't include them.
California is in deep trouble because of the unions and entitlements, yet they won't change because our voters are the ones that benefit from it, thats why we got Boxer and Brown in office and they won't fix anything

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
