If you're having a problem losing weight / lack of motivation it may be hormone related. A metabolic issue (like hypothyroidism) could be the culprit.
A rather easy way to check if you have a down-regulated metabolism is to take your temperature 2-3 times a day (3 hours after you wake up, 3 hours after that, 3 hours after that).
If your average daily temperature is significantly lower than optimal (98.6F) then something is going on.
