I got this virus or one like it a good few months back and found NOTHING to get rid of it and ended up having to reformat.
Its a nasty little fucker that alters virus checkers to make it invisible to them, which might explain why you are getting false results.
What annoyed me more than anything else was the fact that the virus is quite old now and you would have thought that the virus checkers would guard against it .. but no
