Here is the difference. 25,000 people won't pay $100+ per person (As much as $2,000 or more for court side) to watch a teacher teach a class or correct papers. Sure, it is messed up that someone who educates kids and has a potentially big effect on our country makes very little while a guy who is good at putting a ball in a basket makes millions, but it is all about the value of the skill.
As per your previous question about how these guys get through college. The guys that are on Lebron's level and make this kind of money rarely complete college. LeBron went pro right out of high school. A lot of NBA guys go 1-2 years and turn pro. Same with the NFL. MLB drafts kids when they are 15 and allows them to enter their minor league system at 17. So grades have very little to do with it.
