This sounds pretty scary.... so long as you don't put much thought into examining the details reported.
The article's headline says that the missiles could "reach the U.S." Considering the average quality of the journalistic brain, however, that claim is probably worth scrutinizing more closely. ;-)
The article lists three missile types, the one with the longest effective range being the Iranian Shahab 3, with a range of 1300 - 1500 kilometers.
Miami is the nearest major American city to Venezuela, and it lays about 2100 kilometers from Caracas.
It
may be possible to target some portion of Florida from some portion of Venezuela using these missiles, but my hunch is that the countries that have something to worry about with respect to these missiles are Venezuela's immediate neighbors, and not the U.S.
In other words, as trumped up fears go, this one is pretty freakin weak.
