While putting blogs on your own subdomains is better than using freehosts, you will get far more people wanting to trade with you if you make your blogs on their own domains.
You can use BlogsOrganizer to manage your blogs across multiple domains/hosts.
Of course, all this means you will have to spend more money, but it's worth it.
