It is called Workmen's Comp. Have you ever dealt with it? It sucks. It is nothing more than a bandaid.
Yes I have dealt with it

#1. The $7.4 billion cost of the legislation over 10 years is paid for by a provision that would prevent foreign multinational corporations from using tax havens to avoid taxes on U.S. income.
#2. You have to be severely fucked up to be eligible.
#3. It passed the House and the Senate has the votes but the Republicans are blocking the vote with a filibusterer.
#4. These people are DYING.
#5. When it became a work comp issue they lost their jobs, thus their health insurance lapsed.
#6. They may be getting permanent disability from WC, but that does not cover the expense of dying from cancer.
Apparently, you don't have to be severely fucked up

The amendment to the bill's original language now provides that any person who has settled a civil litigation claim that was commenced after December 22, 2003 and settled and released all claims before the final enactment of the Zadroga bill will be permitted to file a claim for benefits under the Zadroga bill

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that
