Exactly.
Generally just do everything to keep my conversions as high as possible as well as my $/click. I'd prefer that over a chance to win a BMW or some $100 bonus.
I also look at the way the program is structured to see if I consider it fair and conductive to actually getting signups credited to me. You'd probably also be surprised how the lack of needed promo tools can prevent an affiliate from promoting you. Another thing I like to do is look at who owns the program and how they act. People might laugh but I've avoided trouble by doing this and by paying attention.
