There is no win or loose situation, take a look at Vietnam more 50k american casualties and millions of Vietnamese casualties, ?
there are political, and more honorable ways to fight is my point.
and the soldiers or marines are incredible young men doing the best they can
in this fuck up war.
and it bothers me a lot as a veteran when people attack them, when they have no absolute power over the conflict, obviously there have been mistakes and dozens or even hundreds of excess of force, but is war, and its ugly.
and If you were in their shoes or their families, you wouldn't treat them like that.

Innocent people? When you are in Afghanistan to kill people, you are no longer an innocent person. When you go to Iraq and fire down missiles murdering little kids you aren't an innocent person.
If an Afghani goes and kills innocent Afghanis, it happens to be none of your fucking business. Just like if an American kills another American, it doesn't give another country the right to invade. Does it?
When you have a suicide bomber doing things like what the guy that killed 6 CIA did, you are looking at true bravery. Not the bravery where you are 10,000 feet up in the sky, untouchable, raining down bullets on little kids. See what I'm getting at here? You guys think you're tough but without all your fancy equipment that keeps you safe the US would have lost this war the day it started. Because when it comes down to it, the Afghani or Iraqi soldier/insurgent knows what he's fighting for, but the American has no idea and is just doing what he's told like a little bitch.
True courage is fighting for a cause, knowing that every life you take is a life taken for a reason. Not just 'oh well' we killed a little kid because he was on the street and we can't be bothered to get out of this helicopter and take a look because we are too pussy to put ourselves in danger.
