I like Mac and use Mac for everything production and it works great for me. I dont care if people switch over or not. In fact i hope people choose not to switch, because then Mac users become a bigger target for Virus makers.
At the end of the day if you plan on doing a lot of work on your machine, get what you feel is right for what you do at the price you want to pay for it and call it a day.
