There ultimately is no way to hide who you are. You could always start a new INC and make the owner another INC, but that train will stop somewhere, and your name as the owner will be given. besides, if you did something to be sued, any decent lawyer is going to find out who owns the company. There is nothing wrong with putting yourself as the agent. I know good attorneys who start a new business and list themselves as the agent. INC's are not bullet proof anyway, it's not impossible to pierce the pierce the corporate veil especially if you did something illegal.

Bullshit.
It is entirely possible for you to be able to control and run the corporation in complete anonymity and in such a manner that only a court order or valid subpoena issued by a court of competent jusridiction can delve in. Supoeanas can be resisted in court as well, through the filing of a response. You do not have to be doing anything illegal to desire anonymity in business dealings.
You do not even need to own any stock in the corp to be able to control it if and only if you know what you are doing.
