Last year I went to buy a nice new LCD, then I saw the LEDs and was awestruck at the beauty the $5000 machines provided. Now the LEDs cost roughly what I was looking at similar sized LCDs for just last fall. A year from now, as you said, you'll be picking up 3D's for $1000. I don't think I'm really going to need any better picture than what is coming through on the LED now though. That picture is tight, and 3D just doesn't interest me until they do away with the headsets. I think I'll be settled with this screen for a while...
