MAKING CONTACTS.
Anyone who is on this board has TWO personas: GFY-mode and who they actually are in "real" life. So I come here to make contacts then take my "serious bidniss" aspiratins OFF board. If a GFY-er IS a serious Industry person then they will discuss things offline with you (if you have something to offer, which I do).
Summation: Adjust your expectations regarding GFY and all will be fine.

Wouldn't it be a lot nicer if you could have a public discussion with many people at one time. A place where many minds came together to create ideas or solve problems. A place where those that might not have something to contribute but could follow a thread and learn something from it.
I've often wondered who the other people are when a thread has only five people posting in it but 800 views. The ePassport drama had about 17,000 views. What keeps those people from contributing?
I think the mods have taken a step in the right direction with a few new rules aimed at making the board a bit more civilized which in turn makes it more comfortable for those that don't want to deal with the BS.
