I was researching some merchant processors back in september and filled out an application for my own merchant account thru charge.com. They sell for a company called Cynergy Data who processes the credit cards.
I ended up not going with them because I found a processor which was a better fit and that was that... I thought.
Christmas Eve through information on my application, which unfortunately included my banking info., they took out $185 out of my bank account for PCI FEE.
First I thought it was my current processor and they said they don't charge merchants a PCI FEE. Looked in further and found it was from an application months ago on a stagnant account which they apparently approved.
May not affect too many as I think they only accept mainstream sites but it's really straight up theft. Sales rep said that my account was active but didn't qualify for a reduced PCI FEE because I didn't meet the requirement... no shit, don't process thru u ass hat
PCI FEE??? PCI FEE on an account that was never activated by me??? I filled out an application, shopping around for what was available. Total bullshit, worse then hidden cross sales.
