I mean it is not bad just a touch boring, i am also very very picky with all designs, as i design.
you should very least move your menu bar next to the logo, you are wasting space there. also link the logo to the site.
"Brain Candy" etc. bigger bolder fonts for titles. align them left.
id also move the gallery up instead of a big block image for browsing purposes, you want your content in the top half of the screen.
footer, center that all. bold all menu items top and bottom so they stick out more.
practice on your spacing also so the flow of the site appears cleaner.
