Significant enough to use as something to shut people up, but, I agree, winning the Superbowl is the only thing acceptable. But I'm also not going to trash my team because they haven't won a Superbowl. If being loyal makes me "delusional," then so be it.

Now, on to Superbowls and Championships. If history is what you want to evaluate, then perhaps you should take into consideration Philadelphia's history before the Superbowls began. Especially since the Giants were a part of the same league. The Eagles won three NFL Championships, in 1948, 1949 and 1960. The Giants also won three NFL Championships (technically 4, but the first one was not a championship game, but merely having the best record at the end of the season). So, overall that has the Giants winning 6 Championship Games, Philadelphia winning 3 Championship Games.

Through the history, yes, the Giants have more overall championships. But to claim that the Eagles have never won a championship, or are never a championship caliber team is false.

Personally, I live in the now, so all that history doesn't mean much to me. I care about what my team has done in the past couple of years, what they're doing now, and how they do in the near future.

Edit: Doing multiple things at once, so that took me awhile to post. I intended to post it immediately after the post I quoted. I missed the ensuing pissing battle while typing. Even so, my post applies.
Finally a normal person.

I never said that philly is not a championship caliber team. In one of my posts I even stated that it might be possible that the Eagles have made the playoffs more then the Giants. I do not know the stats though. My point is, going to the playoffs and beating the giants so many times does not count. I wasn't pointing it at you, but obviously at Alki. I can respect your knowledge of the game, as he obviously does not have. Philly is always a contender. With that said. It is all about the trophy.
