Creating water out of thin air and making children's toys that can build their own ozone would be CAKE compared to faster than speed of light travel. I really don't think you grasp it.
Oh, and one of the big points to #2 I forgot to add. So, to travel the millions upon millions upon millions upon millions of light years for an alien to get to us. Would require an energy source SO GREAT, that it would be completely pointless to do so.
As an example. Let's say some astronomer was looking into space one day and there was this floating blob of oil out next to pluto. It had so much oil in it's mass that the human species could live off of it for one thousand years. However - for us to travel to get to the blob to harvest it. We would need to use as much oil as the human species could live off of for a million years. It would be the literal example of building a fusion space ship to travel to go harvest the energy from a double a battery.
