There is right and there is wrong. Theft is wrong. Period. There is no way to justify it, though criminals always try. Prisons are full of "innocent" thieves or cons who justify their actions.

It goes further than "not liking" someone and has more to do with that someone stealing from you, which in turn is stealing from your family. If I caught the same people stealing my scenes on mini DVs in my house, they would be shot dead on sight without a second thought. However, since it's online, "hey... it's not so bad, adapt or die. Can't wait to see you at the show, bro! Lets do some biz! Slurp, slurp, slurp."

The sad part is, everyone is so desperate for sales and traffic that they will do anything, say anything and side with anyone to get them. That's why the industry is in the state it's in, because you people will do business with the very shit stains who steal from you. Pathetic really.
Well, aside from the fact that you really aren't addressing the point I was making and want to change this once again into the ridiculous us vs. them damn tubes thing...

So you know... here you go again with an example that clearly has no real logic to it and simplifies the issue with sophistry that only really serves to incite the rabble that don't want to deal with the complexities of the problem in any real way in the first place.

I know you have been in this industry a while, and maybe that whole ex-pat languid decaying sarcasm and soggy nihilism comes off looking so worldly to some here, but I don't have to be impressed by it or indulge it because I have been around long enough to call bullshit.

What makes you so self important to presume "the state of the industry"? I look around and see the same causes for failure that I saw from day one. Piracy? Nothing new. I have a way easier time dealing with tube piracy than I ever had trying to keep our stuff off shelves in NYC back in the day. So what? You want me to take pity on those that haven't figured out how to handle the situation? Why? I wish our competition would wither and fade and go quietly into the good night. I would be happy to absorb all those affiliates that were ridiculously loyal to programs that failed them in the end by not weathering the storms of change.

Does that make me eeeeeeeevil? No. It makes me a businessman. Surely in all your world-weariness and the langor of your tropical paradise you can still understand that? If not, go get a tranny hooker, shoot some porn, get your rocks off, and get off my jock.
