Well said Jim. It really is gross and miserable to be around.

1) You don't smell anymore. You don't understand this when your smoker, but when you smoke you stink. Really bad. When you quit for a year and then your buddy comes over, you can smell the smoke on him a mile away. And you'll refuse to ride in his car because it reeks.

2) Food tastes better. You kill your taste buds by smoking. Quit for a bit, and then you'll re-discover how much you like food.

3) You won't hack up flem in the morning in the shower. Or cough for no reason.

4) You don't waste time smoking outside. I was stunned at how much time I was spending on a daily basis smoking.

5) Money. Do you know how much money your spending on smoking? Chances are your spending $300 a month smoking. Might not sound like a lot, but that's like $4k a year.

6) You fell better. I'm forty-two and I jog every morning. I don't feel tired any more like when I smoked.

That's a good start. Someone else can add in. Of course, the health benefits are huge too. You'll live longer.

You know, tobacco companies could solve this problem by making ODORLESS cigarettes. It wouldn't address the 2nd hand smoke issue, but the smell.... the smell is what makes non-smokers want to vomit and usually makes us bitchy. If it didn't smell, people probably wouldn't notice you were smoking. Just make a cig that doesn't stink. Problem solved.
