Yes, it plays fine, but you shall still test on os5 devices like bold, storm and different providers. Mine is os6 and they have improved movie play in this version. As i said every blackberry is different, ipod/iphone is piece of cake. Yes, they have managed to come up with a solution that supports both devices, you can check movies here and see codecs and headers
