I agree 100%.
Also...
Employers should be able to let employees go for any reason they want, at any time. Just as an employee should be able to leave for any reason they want, at any time.
I was once fired from a developer position where I had no outside contact other than phone and email with clients for... having earrings... Sure I was pissed and was it justified? Absolutely not, especially considering I was putting in over 80 hours a week to get their only product on the market out the door (no exaggeration). While it sucked, I still support the right for business owners to make their own decisions.
