I don't understand why people get bent out of shape when they're asked to pay for what they use. If you can't afford the bandwidth, perhaps you shouldn't use Netflix. Really. If you can't afford fuel would you try to drive cross-country for a vacation?

So in otherwords ISP shoudl be able to meter like a utility? Then you should agree then they should be REGULATED as a utility then? Which the ISPs do NOT want. Can't have it both ways.
My gas bill if I don't use it is $6 a month. then I get charge so much per unit. Now if the ISP want to charge this way then they need to LOWER the cost of th basic service FIRST. but they don't want to they want to keep charging $50 a month PLUS overages. Sorry can't have it both way.
If the ISPs want to meter bandwith fine except
A) Base price has to be $10 a month
B) Overages can't be more than 50% over actual cost.
