We all have been told that keeping up with the Joneses is bullshit and reeks of herd mentality and resolving status/self-esteem issues with materialism. Right. Okay. Ahem. So There's this new marketing concept called SOCIAL BUYING which works on the keeping up with the Joneses social dynamic. Facebook decides to put their own implementation:

Micropayments and social buying. Gee... I wonder which much maligned online content industry helped pioneer that payment system?
I don't think social buying would work with porn per se but there might be some innovative threads and creative twists in this implementation that might inspire adult marketers.
