This may have nothing to do with you but some people are terrified of being in link trade systems. This is an article for another time but in brief. Google does not Trust Anyone. So it does not matter if you are in or out of these databases or Directories.
DMOZ is a perfect example. Google does not give a damn about the opinions of a few editors at DMOZ. You might get some PR but I think everyone reading this knows your not going to get and hold ranks by getting links from the so called "Authority Sites".
Likewise is the Dark side judgment of Google. The idea that Google Needs or Wants the input of 3rd party data is absurd. As an analyst for more than 12 years, I can tell you clearly that Blacklists are pretty 90's in thinking.
To support this claim of mine (which will surely come under attack). Most people will say that Google Knows whats in these link trade systems - even if they don't have access.
Obviously they can not break in and commit a federal crime. So why is that? How do they know what is in or out of linkspun or thunderball? How do they know??? Humm....
It is because Google Tracks Link Clusters. And so even if they cant access linkspun thunderball or everess... they can still track the cluster of links that arise from them which is why we urge people NOT to go and run up 1000 links in a day.
If you take linkspun thunderball and everess completely out of the picture.... you STILL have a link cluster that Google either likes... or dislikes. It won't matter if you are in or out of a database. If you are linking in a cluster in a cluster - Google will judge that.
Sorry if that had nothing to do with your question. It's just after the last 2 posts... this thread has gone a bit intense.

all good, man. sorry if people are jumping on ya lol. but as you know, TB was the best (if not the first) for a long time. so this announcement, or better yet the part about taking over TB, might have hit a few of us outta nowhere. i know it did for me. i remember your post when you were still working on this site and showed some screenshots. but unless i missed it, i dont recall a thread or post where it was mentioned that you were scooping up TB's system. people were asking who, if anyone, would buy TB from Bond and get it going again, but no one stepped forward. so now knowing that someone 'new' shifted everything over with no notice may rub folks the wrong way.
none of that above is my real concern. nor am i afraid of being in the system - if i did i wouldn't have used TB or linkspun. my thing is.... everess looks powerful as hell. almost TOO powerful lol. while i know that a lot of the tools and features in everess are already available on the web (free or paid), thats a lot of information for me to put out there on front street, for any person to view. it's technically all public info, i know. and while i can surely see myself and others using it, the webmasters i trade with are my allies as well as my competition. i don't want it to be that easy for them to connect all of my dots

i may be judging the site incorrectly or maybe the info given via everess is not as crucial as i deem it to be, but that's where i'm coming from with my questions.
