As Machete pointed out... Google update.
They went after content farms. Basically site that share/repeat information, offer no real unique value over a group of other related sites. Many of the article sites, q&a type sites, aggregate style sites... are repeat, mostly trash/spun crap - these were the real targets.
So if your porn site uses the same titles, desc, banners, images, names (or very close) as everyone else and you basically spun it around a different design, style, layout.. maybe a few new keywords - You ARE a content farm (nothing unique) and thus will be hit with the penalty.
You can use the same content as others - but you must go above the call and also add in something unique, that makes you stand out/be different. One helper is comments, it add words/keywords to the page, increases views, length of time on page, etc..
