A community of badly aging upper middle aged people driven by suspicion and EXTREME PARANOIA.
This paranoia has driven them into tightly wound cliques that depend on social and political connections for advancement and success in there industry. Similar to Hollywood the majority of these people are composed of 20-35% talent with the remainder of their business success relying on those political connections with the elite of the industry (Used HERE IN CORRECT CONTEXT VROCKS - you need to learn the definition of that word). Simply put, it is an industry of who you know not what you know.
While some do posses a high intellect, the majority consist of moderately educated social climbers. Each rung in the ladder of success in this industry is closely monitored and guarded by the current keepers who will vigorously repel anyone that is not on the guest list which is compiled by the industry's elite.
Anyone holding a substantial position in this community will execute a maximum effort to suppress any competitor they see as a threat to their position. These efforts are conducted covertly while some participants will overtly deny such activities and distribute lies and propaganda composed of adolescent statements typically used in school yards.
