I analyse, DWB loves to accumulate Asian artefacts that he does to circumvent/suppress his need to be a submissive drone to someone of a higher authority. He appears in control since they are "his" artefacts, but at some point the reality and delusion must collide in a torrent of a nightmare, where only the artefact can win.

Robbie has substituted for the fact artefacts cannot really be owned. They purely exist from one existence to another.
