htaccess will not solve it guys.
Google image search will still show my images/keywords with his link. Dude still gets the traffic. Everything's been htaccess to stop hotlinking years ago. Only trusted domains may hotlink from me. My images do not show up on the spam pages.
Ive had a few pages shut down but 10 more pop up in 2-3 days.
What they do is cloaking, hotlink images with good seprs and add alt/title tags to their own html thus increasing their own page's importance. Doing this drops legitimate site's importance and the spam page takes the legit one's place. It's an exploit of the whole image.google.com system.
Google is well aware of this exploit and cannot do anything about it (so far) without hurting legitimate sites rankings. The ability for a site to gain importance by featuring content that is well regarded has it's legitimate places.
I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to minimize the traffic loss without destroying what my site has already amassed in google however I do not think it's possible.
