50% of Americans wouldn't even be alive right now considering we invented Insulin, the telephone so you can call the ambulance when your heart explodes and the pacemaker to keep you ticking, oh and of course basketball which we decided wasn't worth playing anyways.
My favorite is the light bulb which EDISON DID NOT INVENT, however a great man none the less.
