Bing doesn't deny it, they claim it's just a method of collecting data. Their response in verbatim was, "we all learn from our collective customers, and we all should." They harvest search results from Google searches conducted using IE 8 and their Bing toolbar. Google thinks it's cheating and unethical, Bing begs to differ.
As far as I'm concerned, they both likely cross unethical boundaries to pool data. So I don't give a shit about either of their positions.

Google has suspected that Bing was modeling their search results after them. So they setup a trap using obscure search terms and mismatched search results to see if Bing would mimic the results. Which of course they did.
