it's a ton of work using the pen tool - the more photo-realistic you want the more work.
if it's a simple graphical logo it's not as much work.

http://www.vectormagic.com - does a so-so job but a nice head start if u have good skills with the pen tool. Adobe Illustrator's LiveTrace feature is similar to VectorMagic.
