A little more interjection with what KK said, the C&D is a warning shot, but makes for great cannon fodder at a trial-)
It eliminates the defense, "I didn't know", and it puts alot of weight in the plaintiffs charge of, "Willfull infringement" in the event the C&D is ignored....
