Why do you and GatorB think that the military is somekind of self contained unit of aliens. They are made up of citizens, there are many ex-military among the citizens, they are recruited from the citizens, their family members are citizens.

Go do some research on how many trained soldiers in WW2, Korea and Vietnam were actually shooting to kill. The modern army goes into intense training to make them killers. Untrained people with the weapons they have in their closet, against trained killers with some of the most modern weapons ever. No contest.

The people of Afghanistan and Vietnam were/are losing combatants by the 100s against 1 US soldier. They kept/keep coming because they have balls. The first time the "citizens" start to take hits they will run like rabbits.

So tell us all when a popular armed uprising worked against an army and I will tell you 10 times it failed. For everyone you name.
The last time the US had the balls to stand up against the rulers was in the 60s and 70s.
anti Vietnam war protests.
Civil Rights protests.
Those people had balls, they were shot and and killed and kept coming back. I'm afraid to say the US citizens of today don't have the same balls. Getting 10% to uprise is treason, getting 60% is impossible and that's a revolution. When the
majority say enough is enough.
But dream on that it could happen. Every few years politicians need your votes and they promise you what ever you ask for and kiss your ass for a few months. Once elected the populace takes what ever is dealt to them.
