Yes 300 million armed Americans would over throw the Government. About as likely as you gaining a grain of sense. Of that 300 million it would need to include the army. Game over.
In the real world it would be more like 300,000 tops.
Let's take a look at those, outside the army/police, who have guns and have proved they're willing to use them against people. Fuck me the Gangs, gangsters, Far Right, Far Left and nutters. Do you really want these guys in the front line? They would make a real cohesive unit.
