First off...I'd have a fucking heart attack if it was my son wanting to become a woman. Who wouldn't? We all want our kids to become perfect little clones of what WE want them to be.
Having said that...once I step back and detach myself from a scenario where my emotions would be in charge and I put my logic into play: I would say that an 18 year old didn't just wake up one day when they were 18 and "decide" to become a woman. And my "reaction" as a parent would be irrelevant to what is going on within that 18 year old's mind.
And studies showing the human brain isn't fully developed are just that...studies. In one breath scientists tell us that our brains are more adapted to learning when we are INFANTS than at any other time in our lives. Then they say we're not devolped by age 25? WTF? People only lived to their early 30's throughout most of mankind's history. lol
My point remains. Everybody matures and realizes their own inner personality at a different pace. And this 19 year old ADULT has every right to satisfy their sexuality.
As a matter of fact, there is no better time. People are at their sexual peaks as TEENAGERS. More sexual hormones flow during that time of life than at any other. Nature intended it that way.
