Cute how you see things 12clicks but I can tell you grew up living and now live a very spoiled and sheltered life, away from all real life things. Probably wouldn't last the first few days of a revolution sad to say.

The way it works would be this: the US president or whoever gives an order to fire on an armed group of rebellious traitors. The military wouldn't want to side with a group of idiots with small guns because they know if the government has even a small fraction of the military support, that small group of idiots will be the losing side.
Which military general wants to be the one that sides with what he sees as the losing side? All they care about is honor and pride, they don't give two shits about the people and citizens.
