If you ever go to court because someone stole your idea, design etc, its always a good idea to be able to show dated "Prior Art".
What i do is make two copies of all my work/ideas, i sometimes shoot a few pictures showing the pages or artwork alongside a copy of that days newspaper I then seal these in two envelopes one goes into my safety deposit bank box the other is given to my attorney.
