Straight up, if you can't make it shooting content today - it's because you're stuck on a 30 year old business model - and bitching about it wont change shit.
Several programs running around where the owner shoots the porn, is in the porn, produces it in house etc... and overall they're pulling down millions a year. If you're still a content producer and not making millions - you're doing it wrong.
