Actuallyyyy... from what I've read of it, way back 1000's of years in history, when we all lived in mud huts, igloos, teepees, caves, and tents made of animal hides, people actually did sit the extremely old folk outside on cold nights and either froze them to death or the wolves got them.
Same with babies that didn't look 100% right. Your newborn missing a toe? Outside with it. Eyes too far apart? Too high a forehead? Leave it in the woods!
Of course humanity has evolved a long way since those ancient times. Or so I thought, til I saw this thread. :D
