If they come up with a competitive offering they will be able to get it in front of a hell of a lot consumers. Android is so popular with the carriers because its so customizable hence why they are more carriers offering so many Android handsets. If Nokia hadn't dropped the ball maybe Androids rise to fame would have taken longer as very few predicted it would happen so fast!
