Well, you could be dealing with a two fold situation here.

1. Optimal hormone balances decline with age, resulting (for most men) in less than optimal erection quality. Even when flaccid, the penis may seem smaller than it used to be.

2. Fat contributes to estrogen and estrogen mediates the release of gonadatropins (from the hypothalamus) responsible for a chain reaction involving the pituitary gland that signals our testicles to produce testosterone. Contributing to a less than optimal hormone balance in males.
